Medley VPN is $6/month plus the Missisippi state tax of 7%, and the first month is free.

How does it work?

The VPN is built on AWS using an Ubuntu server with a static IP address and an installation of OpenVPN server configured as either a standard VPN or to the customer's liking.

What is a VPN?

VPN stands for Virtual Private Network, with the key word being private. A VPN makes a secure connection between your device and a server somewhere else, leaving your ISP in the dark about your internet traffic and allowing for features that they either do not support or intentionally block.

Why would I need a VPN?

If you are using public wifi, you should be using a VPN, period. Attacks such as man-in-the-middle and evil twin attacks are beyond easy to do for anyone with even moderate IT knowledge.

With many internet companies (I'm looking at you, AT&T) engaging in shady anti-consumer practices such as throttling and monitoring, it's a good idea to protect yourself even when you're on your own private network.

Why should I choose Medley Technologies as my VPN provider?
